Why do we pamper one animal and see another as a product?
Recently, a law was passed in South Korea that bans the sale of dog meat. The law puts an end to a centuries-old tradition. The reason for the proposal was the growing love for dogs. Support for the ban grew under the president, who has six pet dogs. (Source: NOS)
This made me think. A sausage once was a pig, with as much feeling and consciousness as a dog. Why do we slaughter huge amounts of pigs, but won't we even think of eating dogs? I decided to visualize these questions in a photo series, in which I display meat products as pets.

All photographs are made in my studio. Every object is real, except for the meat, which is AI-generated, because I did't want to waste any meat. By using Photoshop, I placed the meat into the photographs.
